Adult Education

Adult Education as a sector is wide reaching and full of variety.  It’s not just about gaining essential skills for work, but it extends further into supporting a culture in which people feel more confident to learn and be a part of making a difference in their communities and across Wales.

Adult Education can be in the form of formal courses and more non-formal, community-based education. In Wales, there is stronger support for lifelong learning thanks to legislation which encourages a nation of second chances. Taith funding opportunities available can help support these developments by providing participants with the chance to experience the world and bring the world back to Wales.

This project reminded us what adult learning is really about — connection, curiosity, and growing together. Watching our learners find their voices, share their stories, and build friendships across borders was unforgettable. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved — and excited for what’s next.

Non traditional participants, many of who had disengaged with mainstream education, have now found a passion to continue their adult education journey or in their words the start of life changing journey!
