6. Assessment

To be considered for funding, you must demonstrate in your application how your planned project meets the overall aim of Pathway 2 – to develop and improve education in Wales.
Please make sure you read each question and the supporting help text thoroughly, so you understand what information we are looking for you to provide.
Each application will be independently assessed by two assessors based on the information you provide in response to each of the questions. The assessors will then provide a consolidated overall score. You must score at least 50 out of a total 90 points to be considered fundable. If you score 0 on any of the questions your application will be considered unfundable.
Where there are more fundable applications than funding available, applications will be ranked according to the following criteria:
- the identification and explanation of a gap, issue or sector priority, including a clear justification for why the project is needed
- a clear explanation of how the planned project output will address this gap, issue or sector priority
- a clear explanation of the long-term impact that the project will have on the sector and on education/learning in Wales
Funding will be awarded to those projects that score above 50 and score the highest in the above 3 areas.
