It was a great delight to visit the NASA Ames Research Center in California earlier this year as part of a UK space science delegation to the USA, together with colleagues from the UK Space Agency and fellow academics from across the UK, representing the University of South Wales.

During the visit, we had the fantastic opportunity to see first-hand some of the incredible work taking place at the forefront of the global space sector, including visits and engagements with Vast and Rocket Lab in California and Intuitive Machines in Houston, Texas. We also had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful colleagues from Axiom Space during the visit to Houston, but unfortunately we were unable to visit their facilities this time due to the tight schedule, next time for sure.

Yn ystod yr ymweliad, cawsom y cyfle gwych i weld yn uniongyrchol peth o'r gwaith anhygoel sy'n digwydd ar flaen y gad yn y sector gofod byd-eang, gan gynnwys ymweliadau ac ymgysylltiadau â Vast a Rocket Lab yng Nghaliffornia ac Intuitive Machines yn Houston, Texas. Cawsom hefyd y pleser o gwrdd â chydweithwyr gwych o Axiom Space yn ystod yr ymweliad â Houston, ond yn anffodus, nid oeddem yn gallu ymweld â'u cyfleusterau y tro hwn oherwydd yr amserlen dynn, y tro nesaf yn sicr.
