Funding Committee

The role of the Taith Funding Committee is to scrutinise the robustness of the Taith funding applications assessment process.

This is to provide assurance to the International Learning Exchange Programme Limited (ILEP Ltd) Board that the process has been followed as set out in our Programme Guide and that the assessments have been conducted in a fair, independent and transparent manner. The funding committee then recommends to the ILEP Ltd Board a list of applications which are eligible for funding. These assurances and recommendations enable the ILEP Ltd Board to discuss and make the funding decisions.

The committee has an independent Chairperson, Michelle Stewart, who was appointed to the role in January 2024. Other members are Kirsty Williams (Chair of the Taith Advisory Board and Director of the ILEP Ltd Board) and Ben Coates (Director of the ILEP Ltd Board). Also in attendance at meetings as observers are Susana Galván (Taith Executive Director) and a representative from Welsh Government.

The Taith Funding Committee meets following the completion of the assessments for each Taith funding call.
